MCAT 2015 Admission Schedule

MBBS/BDS Admissions 2015

A) ENTRANCE TEST
1) UHS shall conduct an Entrance Test on behalf of the Government of Punjab for admission to MBBS/BDS program on Sunday August 30th, 2015.
2) As per the regulations of PMDC its mandatory a candidate desirous of admission to any public or private medical/dental college of the province to appear in the test.
3) Those students who wish to appear in the Entrance test must have at-least 60% marks in Fsc Pre medical or equivalent. Those who are waiting for the result, need to attach a hope certificate issued by the Head of their institution. (Sample available on www.uhs.edu.pk)
4) The 150 minutes ( 2.5 hours ) test shall consists of 220 MCQs of total 1100 marks.

B) ADMISSION PROCESS
1) The admission process will start in september
2) All those having domicile of Punjab or Islamabad who will score 82% or above aggregate marks as per PMDC formula hall be eligible to apply for admission on basis of open merit.
3) As per PMDC the merit criteria is as follows:
  • Matriculation or equivalent  -- 10%
  • HSSC/FSc or equivalent -- 40%
  • UHS Entrance Test 2015 -- 50%

D) ENTRY TEST KITS
The entry test kits containing the information booklet, application form & Admittance cards will be available as per above schedule at the following institutions on payment of Rs 500/- in cash:

  • Nishtar Medical College, Multan
  • Quaid e Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur
  • Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan
  • Ghazi Khan Medical College, D.G Khan
  • Rawalpindi Medical College, Rawalpindi
  • Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
  • Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha
  • Nawaz Sharif Medical College, Gujrat
  • Sahiwal Medical College , Sahiwal
  • Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College, Sialkot
  • Gujranwala Medical College, Gujranwala
E) PROCEDURE
Buy the Entry Test Kit from any of the above mentioned centers. Fill the application form and attach the required documents with the form. The list of documents you would need is available on the UHS website. Link:  http://www.uhs.edu.pk/mcat/et2015.php
Submit the form in the same center, after a couple of days your admit card will be available in the same center, collect it and carry it with you on the test day in your test center.

Inverse of a Function In this Post I will discuss the method for finding the inverse of a given function from the 4 options as given in the Entrance tests of Engineering Universities. The very first step before finding the inverse is to make a check whether the function is One-to-One or not.  By One-to-One function we mean that function for example f(x) should not have the same value at two different values of x. In other words for each element of the Domain there should be a distinct element in the range. Check for One-to-One: A function which passes the horizontal line test is a One-to-One function. This means if a horizontal line is drawn it should not cross the function curve at more than one point.
